The rededication of the 17th CVI flagpole on Barlow’s Knoll is on track for July 1, 1863 – the 155th anniversary of the first day of the battle. The schedule of events is attached. The ceremony begins at 12 noon, with Living History on site from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m..
On 7:30 p.m. on June 30th Carolyn Ivanoff, a long-time friend of the 17th CVI website, will present “We Fought At Gettysburg: 17th Connecticut, Barlow’s Knoll & Beyond” at the Gettysburg Heritage Center. which follows the 17th Connecticut Infantry Regiment from Barlow’s Knoll to the Spangler Farm and beyond during the three-day Battle of Gettysburg in July 1863.
